LMI-based 2D-3D Registration: from Uncalibrated Images to Euclidean Scene

International audience; This paper investigates the problem of registering a scanned scene, represented by 3D Euclidean point coordinates , and two or more uncalibrated cameras. An unknown subset of the scanned points have their image projections detected and matched across images. The proposed approach assumes the cameras only known in some arbitrary projective frame and no calibration or autocalibration is required. Disturbance observer-based disturbance attenuation control for a class of stochastic systems

This paper studies a class of stochastic systems with multiple disturbances which include the disturbance with partially-known information and the white noise. A disturbance observer is constructed to estimate the disturbance with partially-known information, based on which, a disturbance observer-based disturbance attenuation control (DOBDAC) scheme is proposed by combining pole placement and linear matrix inequality (LMI) methods.

Vibration control strategy for large-scale structures with incomplete multi-actuator system and neighbouring state information

The synthesis of optimal controllers for vibrational protection of large-scale structures with multiple actuation devices and partial state information is a challenging problem. In this study, the authors present a design strategy that allows computing this kind of controllers by using standard linear matrix inequality optimisation tools. This paper is concerned with the state feedback control problem for a class of two-dimensional (2D) discrete-time stochastic systems with time-delays, randomly occurring uncertainties and nonlinearities. Vibration control for adjacent structures using local state information

In this paper, a novel strategy for structural vibration control of multi-structure systems is presented. This strategy pays particular attention to mitigating negative interstructure interactions. Moreover, it is based on recent advances in static output–feedback control, which make possible the efficient computation of decentralized velocity-feedback controllers by solving a single-step optimization problem with Linear Matrix Inequality constraints. Passive-damping design for vibration control of large structures

In this work, a systematic strategy to design passive damping systems for structural vibration control is presented. The proposed design methodology is based on the equivalence between decentralized static velocity-feedback controllers and passive damping systems. By using recent developments in static output-feedback control, the design of passivedamping systems can be formulated as a single optimization problem with Linear Matrix Inequality constraints. Input-Output Finite-Time Stability of Discrete-Time Impulsive Switched Linear Systems with State Delays

Also available from the publisher at: http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/s00034-013-9610-7 This paper is concerned with the problem of input-output finite-time stability (IO-FTS) for discrete impulsive switched systems with state delays. Sufficient conditions are presented for the existence of IO-FTS for such systems under the cases of certain switching, arbitrary switching, and uncertain switching. All the obtained results are formulated in a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Two numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed results.

Fault detection for discrete-time Markov jump linear systems with partially known transition probabilities

In this article, the fault detection (FD) problem for a class of discrete-time Markov jump linear system (MJLS) with partially known transition probabilities is investigated. The proposed systems are more general, which relax the traditional assumption in Markov jump systems that all the transition probabilities must be completely known. A residual generator is constructed and the corresponding FD is formulated as an H ∞ filtering problem by which the error between residual and fault are minimised in the H ∞ sense.
